Services
Unbreakable Youth Center offers trauma‑informed, strength‑based non‑clinical supports that help young people build coping skills, leadership, and practical life competencies—including mentoring, life‑skills workshops, school partnership programs, family education, peer leadership, and community training. Clinical interventions are not provided on site at this time; when needed we coordinate referrals to licensed providers and offer safety‑focused crisis navigation

Unbreakable Youth Center & Shelter is a trauma-informed, family-rooted space where youth find safety, strength, and the tools to rebuild. Founded by Laveta Carney a visionary leader, retired military service member, and child welfare expert. Unbreakable Youth is more than a shelter. It’s a legacy of resilience.
We serve youth ages 10–17 in the Quad Cities region through emergency shelter, mentorship, and community-based support. Our hybrid model blends nonprofit care with mission-driven innovation, ensuring transparency, sustainability, and generational impact.
At the heart of our mission is Re’Bekah Jean Carney, our Honorary Youth Board Member and future successor. Her voice shapes our outreach, branding, and programming modeling authentic youth leadership from day one.
